Process Images
For each portrait that I complete, I take progress images so that you can see your beloved pet come to life on the page.

I begin the process by sketching the image of the pet onto the page and ensuring that the likeness is as close as possible.

I then use a product called 'white out', a sticky substance that, once dried can be peeled off. You can see this as blue lines and dots on the below images. This helps me to recreate the strokes of hair so each individual strand stands out.

Once this has dried I begin the paining process. Using thin watercolour brushes, I begin layering up the fine hair strokes to give the portrait depth and help the image really become life-like.

Once I believe that I have created an end result that I am happy with, I will send you an image to ensure that you are also happy with the likeness. This way I can get you have the best, most realistic recreation of your pet.
